Classification framework and question bank
Four strategic axes, the sixteen-type mapping, and 160 candidate questions. The current site uses a fixed set of 48 questions.
ABOUT / 16 SHADES
Sixteen strategy portraits. A closer look at everyday choices.
And a clear view of the rules behind them.
16 CHARACTERS / Each character is a strategic reference, not a judgement about anyone.
01 / About this project
16 Shades brings choices about disagreement, interests and rules into sixteen characters. You may see yourself in one. You may also disagree.
Answer 16 questions to see which characters your choices resemble. For more detail, answer another 32 or browse the character profiles.
See what you prioritize and how you act, with room for what remains uncertain.
A type is not a verdict of good or bad, and it is not a psychological diagnosis.
No account is needed for the test or the full interpretation. An account is only for saving and revisiting results.
02 / Open materials
We have organized the definitions, question bank, and reference implementation as bilingual materials for research, citation, and integration. A formal public release will include the corresponding version and complete license.
Four strategic axes, the sixteen-type mapping, and 160 candidate questions. The current site uses a fixed set of 48 questions.
Defines missing answers, ties, and boundaries, with a runnable reference implementation and complete examples.
Retains version identity, worked examples, and expected outputs so the same input can be checked again.
03 / License and attribution
No public license has been selected yet. The formal version will state the license name, covered files, and conditions for each item below.
“Planned to open” does not mean permission has been granted. Engineering checks are not psychometric validation; statistical equivalence across languages and randomized forms has not been verified.
