Character card / Gain–Pressure · Raiders
“Agreeing earlier would have spared you one consequence. That offer has expired.”
In everyday life, these tendencies value practical returns, communicate directly, and hold their ground amid conflict or disapproval.
In shadow mode, pursuing an interest may become tied to punishing resistance, with a need to prove who is stronger even after the goal is met. Tough negotiation and firm boundaries are not in themselves bullying.
The ability to state needs directly and withstand conflict can help protect resources and boundaries under pressure, provided the other party retains room to negotiate and refuse, and consequences serve only to solve the problem.
When the gain is already secured but pressure keeps escalating because ‘they dared to resist,’ holding a boundary has become forcing submission.
Like the Raider, the Bruiser takes material gain directly without a respectable explanation, but also treats resistance itself as a debt. Like the Collector, the Bruiser may add consequences; the Bruiser displays domination openly and needs no procedure to appear reasonable.
