Why can the same shadow role look so different?

A role is not the whole person

The Puppet Master describes a shadow tendency to retain control by shaping relationships and circumstances. One person might set a meeting agenda in advance; another might speak to friends separately. Their motives, transparency, impact, and severity can differ greatly.

MBTI Shapes the Portrayal

An INTJ × Puppet Master might quietly map out the whole structure; an ENFJ × Puppet Master might steer through relationships and visible consensus. These examples help bring the characters to life. They do not imply that one MBTI type is more manipulative, or that a role can appear in only two ways.

Look at the actual behavior

To tell whether a line was crossed, ask whether the other person was informed, free to refuse, exposed to a disproportionate cost, and offered a real stop and repair. Sharing a character label does not imply equal harm, and a four-axis result cannot replace looking at actual behavior.
